Mass Force Void during close day should have a confirmation, and not allow users to void transactions with payments

Brad Bryant 1 year ago in POS 0

During Close Day there is a function that lets users "Force Void" active checks. There are a few issues that come up with this function.

1) There is no confirmation warning the user that they are about to instantly void ALL active checks.

2) The Force Void creates report discrepancies. It appears that the voided transactions are still included in the reports. In the case where a closer accidentally voided $200 worth of online transactions we see that they still got paid, even though now that payment history is gone in reports(I notice that some sales figures still accounted for the payments, just not any payments, or menu Item reports)

3) I think the application should force users to resolve ANY transactions that have payments within the transaction itself. The close day has a transaction list, this should guide the user straight to the transaction to resolve

4) Our stores typically close all cashiers before going through the close-day checklist. If there is an active check the close all cashiers button will bring up the mass void function before they can even see the active transaction list leading to an accidental mass void instance. That transaction list should show up here so it can be resolved otherwise we will run into issues again.

SPREADSHEET INACTIVATE COLUMN

Mark Amaral 1 year ago in Backoffice 0

So when you pull a spreadsheet it would be nice to have a column labeled inactive. Then if we put say "yes" in a cell  in that column it will move that item to inactive. Also, a way to pull an inactive list with the same column to bring it back. Right now my customer gave me over 150+ items to remove so I'm having to go one by one to remove. Whereas a spreadsheet would be so much easier.

Restrict Payment Type by Node

Jackson Spaugh 2 years ago in Payments 0

A Partner and I were talking yesterday about how do we prevent employees from marking a transaction as paid with cash when there's no cash drawer present at the station. We can restrict payment type by role, but preventing certain employees from taking cash completely is a little ridiculous. If we could lock out certain payment types by node, that would be fantastic.

fix order number and size on receipts

Gerardo L 2 years ago in Printers updated 2 years ago 1

The order number on receipts needs to be at least double in size and in BOLD, even set in BO at double height, its not enough, and needs to be added the same way to the center and on top to the Credit Card itemized receipt. Numbering needs to be fixed, first digit depends on the nod number which is fine, but the "-" should be removed, also, there is always a zero following the "-" should be removed too, right now, order number 123 from nod No 3 prints: 3-0123, but it makes more sense if it prints 3123.

Sync All

Danny E 2 years ago in POS 0

Imagine a busy location on a Friday night large enough to justify 15 POS Stations spread out across multiple floors. If the manager adds a new employee on the spot, they have to walk around to all 15 stations and sync so that the employee can use them. We have a location like that, and we also have another location that's multiple stories where the owner is an elderly man and he has to walk up and down stairs to sync iPads.

It would be a huge win if there was a button, maybe tucked away somewhere in Operation -> POS Settings? Labelled "Sync All Stations" and it would just trigger all POS on the same network to sync to back office.

If this is impossible, I would support the next best solution which imo is: https://requests.lingapos.com/communities/1/topics/708-pos-sync-on-logout

United States vs European Calendar

spencer black 2 years ago in Online Ordering updated by Hardy Singh 2 years ago 3

When ordering through a sites OLO Zenfoody site, we see the European version of the a monthly calendar, indicating the start of the week is MONDAY

Almost all United states calendars start on Sunday instead of Monday.
We have instances of customer placing orders for the wrong dates due to this calendar issue.

Can we get a bit option to flip the calendar to the US version instead of the European version?

New Version isnt working out

Joyce 2 years ago updated by Hardy Singh 2 years ago 3

We are having issues with the new 4.5 version. When creating an order under QSR a new window pops up asking if you want to do the order 'Now' or 'Later'. You have to click 'Done' in order to keep the open tickets in the que because the customer hasn't paid yet. Then when hitting 'Finish' it takes you out of the order screen and puts the orders under 'Phone to go' orders. 'Phone to go' isnt an option I have selected under POS settings, so no clue why the orders are going there.  First of all, I would like the ability to shut off the popup screen that says "now' or 'later'. Also I would like to hit the 'finish' button and stay on the order screen. This new 'log off' button isnt working for us. We would like to have it working like it was prior to this new 4.5 update.

Ability to do cut and modify by fixed price

Andy C 2 years ago 0

We would like the ability to do cut and modify pricing using a fixed price instead of a percentage.
A couple of our customers like the look of using the left side/ right side pizza icon on the order screen, but they charge the half pizza toppings at various percentages of a full pizza topping so we are unable to use that feature.

View Employee Pin

Ethan Yoo 2 years ago in Backoffice updated by Ryan Nicley 8 months ago 4

It is essential that managers, or at the very least admins have access to see the login pin of the employees.
Basic feature to change the whole procedure of having to adjust hours.

Willing to provide specific use cases.

Heartland & Clover both have this functionality. I have full access to both without signing any NDAs so please do ask questions.
