Surcharge (for CC) and Tip Charge need to work at the same time.
My merchant adds a surcharge for non-cash payments. However, when this feature is turned on they cannot withhold the tip charge on tips. They use the surcharge for non-cash payments, and not the service charge, because the service charge does not provide a Cash and a Credit price on the guest check (something the merchant demands). Nearly every merchant I have on other POS products operate this way, but I cannot do it on Linga. Currently this merchant is eating about $700/mo of tip charge and needs this feature correction as soon as it can be done.
Increasing the number of characters within item descriptions
Can you increase the number of characters in item descriptions? Now 200 characters is the maximum. Can you increase it to 400?
The description window can go up and down, but the number of characters is limited.
This is important to us because of 3rd party integrators, they also synchronize the description that they release later on 3rd party apps.

its great that the item buttons can be any colour or have a picture.. but it would help if the text colour could also be changed
if I use a Yellow button you can hardly read the white text

The Swiping of a Includes modifer MUST deduct the sale price of that item else you can't use it to alter the cost of a meal
Role Authority
A. - Currently for the Role of Cashier:
- In the Role "Cashier" under POS, the function of "DISCOUNT" is Disabled.
- When a Cashier selects a "Discount" the system pops open a screen for a Manager to enter their PIN NUMBER to allow the Discount to be entered onto the ticket. This works properly snd takes 1 Step (Manager entering PIn Number) to move forward.
B - Now the merchant is seeking the same functionality as above:
- In the Role of "Cashier" under POS Operations the function of PAY IN/OUT is Disabled.
- When the Cashier selects PAY IN/OUT, they want the system to pop up the same screen for a Manager to enter their PIN NUMBER to allow for the Cashier to enter a PAY IN/OUT similar to the ability when they select DISCOUNT in the above example. This would allow for 1 Step (Manager entering PIn Number) to move forward.
- As of now, it requires 8 steps..... see below:
- The current Cashier would need to Logout.
- Then the Manager needs to Login
- Go to Operations
- Go to Till Management
- Select Pay In/Out
- Enter the amount
- Then logout
- And the Cashier needs to Login again.
- All of that has to occur rather than simply a pop-up window appearing to allow a Manager to simply enter their Pin number to allow for PAY IN/OUT.
Customer search not working with apostrophe in the name
We had a customer bring this to our attention. When they search for a customer (on the iPad) with an apostrophe in their name, it doesn't find the customer. If you search without the apostrophe, it works. Just wanted to pass along.
Debit on delivery payment option for QSR
I have run into an issue in Canada regarding using Interac payments on delivery.
We would need to make the following feature adds (Screenshots provided)
On the Linga Online Ordering Add the option similar to cash, but “Debit on Delivery” Check box
On Checkout have the option beside Cash on Delivery
On the Receipt print out, have the payment type listed
Transferring Single Items
When Transferring/Moving a single item to a different tab. We need an option with the actual "Tab name" not the " Individual POS Name" We have 7 terminals and 4 tablets. Sometimes with over 100 tabs. I am not impressed with this system so far.
