Increased separation between OLO and 3rd Party.

Jason G 1 year ago in Online Ordering updated by Hardy Singh 8 months ago 1

Currently OLO and 3rd party integration are managed by the same settings.  If a restaurant wants to make something OLO only but unavailable for 3rd party, the two are connected by the same slider.

It is also not possible to differentiate taxes because the order types are tracked the same.  3rd party services track and handle all sales taxes while OLO needs to be handled by the restaurant.  Right now, sales from 3rd party reporting shows taxes as taxable sales even though the store doesn't need to pay the taxes.  Reporting does not reflect this which forces stores to manually do all the math on the taxes which looks very bad from an accounting standpoint.

It would be nice having a more defined line between OLO and 3rd party for the above reasons.

We have added new report to handle 3rd party OLO sales and released to production on April 30th. New report can be found at

Reports > Sale > Online Sales > 3rd Party OLO Sales (tab)

Send to kitchen by seat

Jason G 1 year ago in POS 0

When ringing in items by seat initially, without pressing BarTab it will only send the current seat selected to the kitchen.  It would be nice to have an optional pop up to remind the server that they did not send the rest of the seats to the kitchen.  That or when pressing finish, having an option to auto send the rest of the seats would be beneficial.

Display price under Size

it would really help when serving customers if the price for each Size was displayed on the size button

Display item message

steve 1 year ago in POS 0

When selecting an Item there can be messages/changes that the server needs to know about the product

often we have to put a note on a product to advise the server that we are out of Blueberries and instead we will be using Strawberries... or in the case of Soup we have to advise the servers that this item takes longer to prepare..

Ideally we need the ability to store a message against each item and display it in a popup when the item is selected

Display Item Description when taking orders

steve 1 year ago in POS updated 1 year ago 1

In NZ its law that we (servers) must be able to advise the customer of the ingredients and any allergens.

As Linga does not have an Allergen field/function we could use the Item Description field.

But a server needs to be able to right click an item and select Display Description as part of the Options functions...

You already have the item Desciption field just need 10 lines of code to display this field in popup if called

Display Stock on Hand Balance on Item Button

steve 1 year ago in POS 0

I love the 86 list function... but the system should also allow the display of SOH balance on the item button if its not displaying the 86 list value

Ideally it should be an option to display SOH Balance on the item button if the item is not on the 86 list

we use the 86 list for items we make (often different quantities each day).. we need SOH balance to display for retail items that we buy in and are stored.

negative modifiers

steve 1 year ago in POS updated by Hariprasanth J 10 months ago 3

Like many other product - Linga needs to allow negative Modifiers.

Its not difficult to do and should only need a change to the DB to allow negative values. As it only adds a modifier line to the order it should not affect the tax calculation

Having reviewed some 50 systems I can honestly say its in most other system and is urgently needed in Linga. Without this it creates a nightmare for us to use the system.

Linga is a great product but could be so much more by allowing negative modifiers

Kitchen Printers: Printer configuration needs Node/Role Restriction the same way it has "Enable Service Type Restriction"

andy 1 year ago in Printers 0

The condition:

I have a bar that has TWO service bar printers.

I want COCKTAIL WAITRESS items to PRINT AT SERVICE BAR PRINTER 1.

I want SERVERS items to PRINT AT SERVICE BAR PRINTER 2.

Instead of having to create a RE-ROUTE MAPPING in LingaROS. It would be much more simple just to:

RESTRICT SERVICE BAR PRINTER 1 from printing SERVERS items.

RESTRICT SERVICE BAR PRINTER 2 from printing COCKTAILWAITRESS items.

This feature would make LingaROS have a much cleaner and simpler configuration process.

Kitchen Printers: LingaROS should implement the concept of PRINTER GROUPS

andy 1 year ago in Printers 0

I would like to be able to implement in a more simple and efficient way the following:

I have a two-story business with a bar on each floor.

I have one or more bartenders.

I have multiple servers (waitstaff).

I have limited tablet terminals. Therefore the tablets are used by the staff as long as they are charged and available to the staff. There is no uniquely assigned tablet to the staff.

When LIQUOR ITEMS are ordered by BARTENDERS(role) those items are NOT to print anywhere.

When UPSTAIR SERVERS(role) order LIQUOR ITEMS those items are to print to the UPSTAIR BAR printer.

When DOWNSTAIR SERVERS(role) order LIQUOR ITEMS those items are to print to the DOWNSTAIR BAR printer.

In LingaROS I only have the option to REROUTE PRINTERS based on NODE and ROLE.

In some other software solutions I would be able to do this:

Item              -- > Kitchen Group
Patron anejo -- > Liquor

Staff --> Role --> Prep Group
jhon -->  Bartender --> Bar
Jane --> Server --> Upstair SERVER

Mary --> Server --> Downstair SERVER

Kitchen Group "Mapping"

Kitchen Group - Prep Group - Printer
Liquor ----> Bar ---> No Print
Liquor ----> Upstair SERVER ---> UPSTAIR BAR PRINTER

Liquor ----> Downstairs SERVER ---> DOWNSTAIR BAR PRINTER

LingaROS would gain extreme PRINTER CONFIGURATION flexibility getting to accomplish almost any kitchen printer configuration a customer might imagine.

Discounts Add available time option just like it is available in categories subcategories and items

andy 1 year ago updated by Ryan Nicley 1 year ago 1

The condition is: A DISCOUNT needs to AUTO-APPLY ONLY at one specific time or multiple times in the day.

Currently, the DISCOUNT can be set up to be available and auto-apply on a day of the week and then be restricted to work only in one time period in the day.

This option does not work if I have a special discount that I need to apply ONLY every Monday from 01:00 PM to 03:00 PM and then from 07:00 PM to 09:00 PM.

The need for a unique scheduled discount is also prevalent with our customers.
