Tip Cap

Sam 3 years ago in Backoffice updated by Hardy Singh 1 year ago 12

Ability to cap tip by % of base amount. % to be defined in backoffice. I have several merchants who have accidentally keyed in very large tips by accident and it creates a situation where if you refund there is a risk of a chargeback too then you could potentially lose a large amount of $.

Yes, I just had a merchant enter an $1,800 tip by accident. This would be a great feature.

Doesn't even have to be a cap just a warning flag. "your tip is 500% more than the ticket" "Are you sure?" Or change the color on the batch screen tip adjustment background from the normal green to red warning background.

Merchant defined Limits with Manager Override

Layla, What does this mean? Merchant defined Limits with Manager Override

so if the merchant identifies in the back office that tips over $1000 ( or X) require manager approval. when the server enters the tip amount $1001 it pop up a manager override to continue

Is that in hybrid payments? not Linga?

On the same topic, adding a notification if tip% is over a certain threshold will help capture too high of a tip when it happens and also help with theft prevention.
