Delete Products/modifiers/discounts from the inactive tab

In the Products/items, Modifiers, and Discount sections can we make it inactive first and then have the option to delete it permanently from the inactive menu. Maybe have a red button to delete from inactive next to the green button that makes it active again.

This way we can keep seasonal items under the inactive tab, but can still delete duplicates and items that we will not be getting back to reduce clutter.

Hi Brad,

We cannot give the option to permanently since those discounts are attached with sales. If we delete it permanently, we cannot pull reports for those discounts.

Thank you I completely understand. Does this only apply to discounts? Modifiers and Products/items are where we want to organize the most.

If you “Delete” an item which makes it inactive the item will hold on to its name. To use the name again you must activate the Item and either edit it to your liking or open it and change its name and then deactivate it again. Would be nice to have the option to flat out delete it with a warning page popping up of. Are you sure?
