tech support license
There should be a tech temporary license that we can use to log into our iPad to see their POS that we are working on. Just have it time out in like an hour. Even when I need help on my build tech support has to steal one of my licenses to test out what I am seeing.

Yes, I was going to request this same exact thing. We need a support license for all the reasons mentioned. I have an issue right now where a customer is telling me an item is ringing up at the wrong price. I think it's a user error because everything is set up correctly, however, I can't test it without resetting one of their license codes or going onsite. Resetting one of their licenses is inconvenient for the merchant and causes unnecessary headaches. Please think about adding this.

Any thoughts on this? It would be so helpful for us to provide great support to our customers. We also do a lot of menu edits and updates for our customers and being able to test things out on the FOH would be great.

this can not be done because of apple programming use sos splashtop no remote control but can log into see system.
We are not asking for "Remote Control" we are wanting a license that we can use that times out say after thirty minutes or so. Then we can use it to see their system as they see it. Other companies have this built in and it is a huge help. After 30 minutes the license times out and if we need to go back in then we log in again. So it should be able to do without the apple programming issue. Right now if they say they are having an issue we have to release one of their licenses and sign in at the office. Which is a thing that your own tech support does when they want to see the issue with our builds.
Heartland Restaurant / Mobilebytes gives you 90 min before it auto logs out. Would love to have this feature.

Having additional, temporary license must be one of easiest requests. I wonder why it remains uncommented by Linga reps.
Seems like such a simple request to enable us to better troubleshoot and support our customers.
The easier it is for us to support the customer, the better they look as well, I'm not sure I understand why this wasn't a feature implemented from the start.
Do they expect us to buy licenses for each support device as well?
We have done this for some of our bigger customers to add a spare license. But still just drop a free license that has a Node ID as TECH. If some reseller abuses it then take it away from those companies account. Bet ya money that the resellers that are buying your product won't abuse it. Help us support our customers better.
Any chance this is going to happen. It would be so helpful and , as mentioned, allow us to provide better service and support to our mutual customers.
This is a MUST have for being able to properly support our clients.
Toast gives you 60 Minutes with a Warning when you get to 8 minutes. They also block out Credit Cards if they don’t have a Properly installed (or licensed) EMV Device.
This will allow us to test Tablet Settings for either Android or iOS and Job Code Settings. This will help us guide our clients, help us learn and ease the stress of the Support Team.
This will help us see what they are experiencing and how to manage it. Not to mention we can adjust a Check (Void, Discount, Promos, Splitting etc...) without affecting/interfering with their payments (not have the ability to take Cash or Credit Card Payments.
This should be a Reseller / White Label Support Option.
BUT If the Client wants this as an internal support option then it can be a SaaS
This is probably the biggest issue currently with supporting our customers, Other POS systems can do it, Linga needs to find a way to make this possible.
